Pediatric Occupational Therapy Services

OT for kids.jpg

At Leading Therapy Home, we provide occupational therapy for children to support the development of age-appropriate motor coordination, body awareness, hand/eye coordination, sensory processing, visual motor, and self-care skills.

Our pediatric occupational therapist engages children in developmentally appropriate play, learning, functional mobility, and self-care tasks. Using evidence-based, child-directed approaches, occupational therapists provide therapy to a child in their natural environment. Occupation therapy in the natural environment teaches skills while the child participates in meaningful activities. Common disorders and diagnosis treated by our occupational therapists are:

Sensory Integration Therapy

ot for kids

Sensory integration therapy is provided by our pediatric occupational therapist. Sensory integration focuses on helping children with sensory processing difficulties improve functioning within their daily lives. A heightened response to sensory information such as sound, light, textures, taste, smells, etc., can make it difficult for a child to function in their environment. Sensory integration therapy is specific to each child's unique sensory profile and will address the child's goals within their natural environment.
