Emily Collins
Speech-Language Pathologist
Emily earned both her Bachelor of Science in Communicative Disorders and her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology through the accelerated program at the University of Rhode Island. After graduating in 2020, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 2021 to explore the Southwest while growing her career as a pediatric speech-language pathologist. During her time in Arizona, she primarily worked in pediatric outpatient settings, supporting children and their families across a wide range of communication and feeding needs.
Emily is passionate about providing individualized, evidence-based therapy that celebrates each child's unique strengths. Her clinical interests include augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), neurodiversity-affirming practices, gestalt language processing (GLP), early language development, and pediatric feeding. She believes that meaningful progress happens through connection, collaboration with families, and creating engaging, child-led therapy experiences that build confidence and functional communication.
After visiting 49 U.S. National Parks with her husband, Emily returned to New England in 2026 to continue serving children and families closer to home. Outside of work, she enjoys getting lost in a good book, cooking, tackling new crafting projects, rollerblading, and spending time with her cat, Ellie.
